IDN (International) Domain Name Checker
Check IDN Domain Names

To order your International Domain Name please use this convertor tool below. Enter your native characters in the left box and convert to IDN format (punycode) on the right. This will take a domain name like nörgler.com and turn it into xn--nrgler-wxa.com, try it yourself below.

The Punycode you create will transform into the native characters in the browser and search engines. Please check the conversion both ways, just to be sure.

Original (Unicode) Punycode (ACE)

When you order an IDN domain name, you would submit the order using the Punycode, so in our example of nörgler.com the order would be made for xn-nrgler-wxa.com

What are IDN Domains?

IDN (International Domain Names) are domain names which use international characters. Until recently domain names were only allowed to consist of those characters in the Latin character set. With IDN domain names, users can type addresses in their own language, or character set. Although most of the TLD (top level domains) are IDN enabled, not all of the ccTLD (country-code top level domains) have this feature. See our list below for the IDN TLD/ccTLD we can provide.

Why you should register IDN

IDN domains are the future of a multilingual internet. Non-English speaking users would prefer to type web addresses in their own languages. Until now many businesses in these regions have been forced to adopt an 'English' version of their domain name. By registering an IDN domain name, your company can provide relevant, localized information about your products and services.

Local IDN domain names give your company a professional image, protect your brand in the native laguage and is proof of your commitment to local customers. By targeting local, country wide markets, you can maximise your company revenues.
