This tool allows you to run real time keyword density analysis tasks upon your local copy while writing or editing. If you have an active internet connection it will also retrieve and analyse online web documents using the built-in address bar.

It is important to note that there are no magic rules for keyword density levels. If you need to ask this question then you should probably not be using this tool. Web documents that have keyword density levels set too high can attract penalties from the major search engines; including being banned entirely from their listings.

However from a practical perspective using very high keyword density levels creates unnatural copy which your users will find unreadable. Remember, write your site copy primarily for the benefit of your users not the search engines. Please be sensible in your use of this tool. Please also read our disclaimer before using this program.

Summary

While there are many other online keyword analysis scripts available on the internet the e3KWD keyword analysis tool is a complete program which will allow you to work on or offline.

e3KWD was developed for our own SEO consultants here at e3internet as we found the work quicker with a local application. Pages did not need to be loaded onto the server before checking and this work could be carried out without an internet connection.

e3kwd screenshotAlthough there are other keyword analysis applications which offer this function, we found them overpriced, too complicated and intrusive to our workspace. The primary concern was to have a small tool which would not take up the whole of your desktop space but allowed you to focus on the primary task – the copy writing itself

The e3KWD keyword analysis tool is a lightweight, fast application designed to fit into your every day working practices.

We are making this keyword analysis tool available free of charge in the hope that people will find it as useful as we have. If you have enjoyed this tool and want to show your appreciation then we welcome links back to this page or donate to our staff beer fund.

We did find that certain special characters were crashing or freezing the program. This bug was fixed in version 3.5 so please download the new copy.

If you see any issues with the program, send us an email. Bug reports are very welcome, especially if you can detail the steps you took (the easier it is for us to recreate the same situation the better!)

Happy to provide more info if required. The page I am checking is not uploaded yet.

e3KWD is a great simple tool for analyzing keywords. The offline page analysis feature is pretty nifty too. We use a tool we developed in-house, actually a combination of two tools. Thought readers here may be interested in trying them out. We encourage feedback so let us know where you think improvement can be made.

[Admin] I’ve emailed you now James – sorry I didn’t seem to receive your previous emails. We’ve never put adware into our tools so I’m trying to get our developers to find out what is going on. The code is fairly old now (2007) so maybe that triggered something in the anti-virus/McFee tools.

    Hi All,

I’ve temporarily taken the download off our site to investigate these spyware/adware reports. We’ve not updated this tool since late 2007 but I can assure you that we have never put adware/spyware into our downloads. For safety sake though, I’m going to get our developers to take a look at the install.

Once we’re satisfied there is nothing suspicious going on, we’ll put it back up on this page. Hopefully this is just a false alert, the code is rather old now and may have triggered parts of the detectors.
